It’s Halloween and I’m feeling nostalgic. So let’s throw it back to possibly the best Harry Potter Birthday set up my friend Janne could put together.
It all started with a mysterious ”owl” arriving at my door with my acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
When I arrived at Janne’s, I entered the place with floo powder (sea salt with a bit of blue chalk coal), since the Hogwarts Express from platform 9 3/4 was canceled.
Inside, Janne had prepared a table full of potion making utensils, wands and 4 containers filled with marbles in the colour of the 4 different houses. Even Albus Dumbledore was present in a moving picture.
Before we had dinner, we had a welcome drink that chanced colour once it was in the glass.
For our first course we had my homemade pumpkin soup, with pumpkin seed oil, followed by homemade vegan lasagne.
But nothing could trump the PERFECT selection of deserts, Hagrid’s Birthday chocolate cake included.
For the rest of the evening, we played the Harry Potter Quiz Janne had prepared for us – f*cking magical. All of it!
