“Ohne Wenn und Abfall” Book Review

Let me tell you about a book that was worth travelling 24 hours for, a book that inspired me, made me laugh out loud and on top of that, talks about relevant, important and sustainable issues.

I am of course talking about Milena Glimbovski’s new book called “Ohne Wenn und Abfall”, which is available in book- and online stores now.

In her book, Milena leads us through the imbroglio of sustainability and shows us a silver lining with a subtle nudge to try it out ourselves.

From Zero Waste shopping to capsule wardrobes, from her multiple sustainable companies, e.g Original Unverpackt,to eco-friendly travel, to sustainability in the bedroom and much, much more, Milena has created a fantastic guide for everyone who is interested in living a more intentional and eco-friendly lifestyle in a realistic manner.

When it comes to her writing style all I can say is that she writes just like she speaks: smart, reflected, honest and unapologetically funny.

Next to “Ohne Wenn und Abfall”, Milena has founded her own publishing company called “Ein Guter Verlag”, where she published 3 other books called “Ein Guter Plan”,ย  “Eine Gute Idee” and “Ein Gutes Buch“, which provide guidance in various endeavours like planning your life, starting up a business or simply writing down and organising your ideas.

There will be a version ofย “Ohne Wenn und Abfall” on audible soon and there might possibly be a translation for international access in the future, fingers crossed.

Want a copy as well? Well, guess what, I am giving away a copy of “Ohne Wenn und Abfall”. My favourite sustainable lifehack is actually to become a foodsaver. Through foodsharing (in Germany) you can legally pick up leftover groceries from supermarkets to share with others. A lot of the food is unpacked and in the packedeged stuff you still save the content which would have otherwise landed in the waste! So i have been doing it for a while and love it! A friend of mine showed me a very good lifehack when I visited her in Aarhus, Denmark. Ever since I stick my carrots in jar filled with water in the fridge. It keeps them from drying out and molding, because they think they are still in the moist ground. ๐Ÿ™‚
