Happy Halloween everyone!
Since Halloween is a during a weekday this year and I have to get up early tomorrow, I will not be celebrating Halloween in a propper manner today but I did, quite literally, have an absolutely magical Halloween weekend at my friend Janne’s house. She managed to throw a completely Zero Waste Harry Potter Party, which I just had to share with you.
It all started with a misterious”owl” arriving at my door with a letter that contained my acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
When I arrived at Janne’s I entered the place with floo powder ( sea salt with a bit of blue chalk coal), since the Hogwarts Express from plattform 9 3/4 has been canceled.
Inside, Janne had prepared a table full of potion making utensils, wands and 4 containers filled with marbles in the color of the 4 different houses.
Even Albus dumbledor was present in a moving picture.
Before we had dinner, we were greeted with a welcome drink that chanced color once it was in the glass.
For our first course we had my homemade pumpkin soup, with pumpkin seed oil, followed by the most exquisit homemade vegan lasagne.
But nothing could trump the PERFECT selection of deserts, Hagrids Birthday chocolate cake included.
The candy included chocolate frogs, truffle sorting hats, excentric blue owl drops, Bertie Bott’s, ton-tongue toffee every flavour beans, eatable dark marks and puking pastilles, all of which Janne was able to find in a bulk candy store in Aarhus earlier that day.
For the rest of the evening, we played the Harry Potter Quiz Janne had prepared for us and it was truly the most wonderful Halloween I have ever had.
