One thing that I definitely do more of since living a Zero Waste lifestyle traveling.
I travel with my carry- on only, which I find soooooo much more convenient and I don’t understand how I ever traveled with two suitcases and a big backpack a few years ago.
For more of my packing tips, check out this post I wrote for mind body green.
What I pack:
- Packing Cubes
- Produce bags
- Tshirts/Skirts/Leggings/Sweaters – I don’t like to wear pants and don’t even bother bringing them on my trips.
- Thick socks
- Reusable napkin
- Small notebook (this is essential as I always come up with the best ideas while on the train)
- Pencil case
- Kindle ( for traveling I like bringing my kindle as it is an all in one type of item that eliminates the need for me to bring any other book or buy books in my new location)
- Phone ( this is my number one item as I use it for google maps, to look up the history of a location and to keep in touch with everyone whilst away). I use the bulk locator app to find my food sources in the city I am and I love listening to podcasts and audiobooks while traveling.)
Packing tip: I have stopped packing for the ” just in case” and only bring what I know I will need. In my experience, I have never regretted that. It is also immensely satisfying to be more flexible because you have less stuff to worry about.
