For the vegans, I have already posted my favorite lotion recipe here.
This recipe is for everyone who isn’t vegan and wants a quick and easy recipe for amazing, soothing lotion that you can’t distinguish from a store bought one texture wise.
This is what you need:
Tip: You can swap out the almond oil for a vegetable oil of your choice. I have used sunflower seed oil and olive oil before and it worked fine, I just prefer the smell of almond oil in my lotions.
Here is what you do:
- Pour the milk into a jar and mix until it becomes a little foamy (use milk at room temperature).
- Gradually add the almond oil while mixing.
- Mix until your lotion gets to the consistency of vanilla pudding.
- Add your favorite essential oils ( my favorite essential oil blend is wild rose and vanilla extract).
This lotion has to be stored in the fridge and lasts up to a 1 1/2 weeks.
