Lunzers Maß- Greißlerei //Heinestraße 35, 1020 Vienna // Mon-Fri 09.00 am-19.00 pm – Sa 09:00-17:00 // website
My first stop on my little travel journey is beautiful Vienna. I am here for work but also to experience the city and have a lot of fun and I am enjoying it here immensely! (Follow me on Instagram and experience Vienna with me @thewastedblog).
The real task is the fact that I vowed to live a Zero Waste lifestyle while doing all this travelling, so the first thing I did upon arrival was to see if Vienna has a store that I can find food in bulk in.
I was surprised to find out that there is an incredible little package free store called Lunzers Maß-Greißlerei and it so happened to be 10 minutes from where I work every day.
This beautiful store sells everything you could possibly wish for in bulk or reusable containers and everything is organic.
They even sell shampoo and wooden toothbrushes, so no need to pack in advance in case you run out of something.
If you are a cheese lover like me, your craving will be satisfied instantly with local delicous cheese variations.
Even if you don’t come prepared, there is a variety of containers you can purchase in the store, but I’d highly recommend bringing your own, as the containers can be pricy.
There is no need to abstain from dairy products, as they have milk, jogurt and cream etc. in reuturnable glass jars and bottles.
I love my homemade body lotion, but for the summer I prefer a mix of different oils and essential oils. Luckily, I didn’t have to stock up on my body oil because Lunzers Maß- Greißlerei offers a variety of oils and vinegar at their store.
Even if you don’t need anything, I highly recommend checking out this awesome store when in Vienna, as they also offer delicious daily lunch options and a nice atmosphere.
Do you know any other packagefree stores in Vienna? I’d love to know! Comment below or connect with me via social media.
