Breakfast toppings

After watching the documentary “Cowspiracy” a friend of mine
decided to try

to be a vegetarian for a month and replace a lot of dairy
products with vegan alternatives.
Since he struggled with what
to put on his breakfast bun every day,

 I decided to document what I put
on my morning toast for 

the past few days, to give him and you a few

ideas and alternatives. Here is what I came up with: 


  • Banana with honey and lemon juice

( simply chop up a banana, drizzle some honey on it and add a little lemon juice, healthy and delicious) 

  • Peanut butter and honey ( self-explanatory)
  • Caramelized apples/ bananas 

( fry bananas for about 7 minutes in coconut oil, 

a pinch of salt and a spoon full of honey, best sweet breakfast option ever!)

  • Walnuts and patchouli dates ( trust me, you’ll love it!) 


  • Mushrooms ( simply fry in pan for about 5 minutes, 

add some spices like chili and voilĂ ) 

  • Antipasti ( probably my favorite salty option: simply but it on your bread, add some olive oil and enjoy)
  • Avocado with caramelised onions ( fry onions in a pan with some honey and olive – or coconut oil and 

salt for about 7 minutes, spread some avocado on your bread and top it with the caramelized onions)

  • Bruschetta– Slice some tomatoes, fry your bread topped with

 fresh garlic
and olive oil in the oven for about 7 minutes, put fresh tomatoes
om top and enjoy.
