I mean let’s face it, everybody likes snacks. Well at least I do. No, wait that was a lie: I loooove snacks!!!!
But, like everything I eat, snacks have to be healthy and nutritious in order to make it “one of my favorite snacks” list. So may I present to you the underestimated
This lovely fruit is high in vitamin C, which boosts your immune system due to it’s strong antioxidant effect. So if I am fighting a cold it is my favorite go to “remedy.” This abundance of antioxidants also helps fight against free radicals in the body, which prevents cell damage and therefore help to better the skin and protect from numerous deceases like atherosclerosis, cancer or heart diseases. Pineapples also contain good levels of B vitamins, which help increase your ability to deal with stress. Because of it’s rich source of soluble and insoluble fiber, pineapple is a “go-to” for better digestion.
Besides those amazing health benefits there is a ton of things you can do with pineapple but my favorite way to eat it is simply cut with a bit of lavender on the side.
