Well what can I say, I felt that after all this travelling I deserved to have an extensive brunch in Aarhus. After a short google search session I decided to pay a visit to Cafe Fika, which turned out to be a really good idea.
How to brunch danish style
Since I decided to spoil myself today, I did not compromise with my food
choices and ordered everything my heart desired.
I had the brunch, which included freshly baked bread, skyr with a small fruit salad and honey roasted granola, hummus, avocado, brie, a smoked salmon-and apple salad, hazelnut cream and a
I also decided to have some fresh-pressed blueberry-apple juice with fresh mint leafs and
some coffee on the side.
There is no point in counting calories or watching your weight while brunching.
Enjoy your food and compensate with an active afternoon activity.
A shared moment tops an ordinary moment any day, so always take your “bestest” with you.
Take a to go mason jar to pack the food you couldn’t finish- it would be a shame to waste it.
When treating yourself to brunch go to the place that you are dying to go to, don’t settle for less. I always research the places I go to beforehand to make sure I get the best quality for my money.
When brunching you have to take your time.
You have to have a free calender and it is all about enjoying every
bite with good conversation, enough time and fun. I extended my morning of
brunching to a nice walk through beautiful Aarhus, and a drink at the Aarhus beach bar. All in all, a perfect day!
